I could find only a few tips for youtubing and getting max hits. Some of them are pricy and involves hiring an agent who will do the work for you to make sure your post appears in the top 20 videos of the day. But as per my thinking content is important and putting the links up everywhere for everyone to see, and at some point it will get viral or maybe not. Does luck play a part in all this? Maybe it does..
Started work early today as always. I have a few minutes to spare so I thought of posting this.
Last weekend was busy with Sarita (my wife) and I occupied until late afternoon planting tulip and daffodil bulbs. the bulbs have to be planted atleast 10 inches deep or there is a danger that the squirrels or the bunnies will get them. If planted deep enough they are safer, or so we might think. There is a small hamster like creature called a vole which digs a tunnel from underground and gets to the bulbs and eats them. Nothing is visible from the top. This is rare, but can happen. Come spring and only then will we know if all our efforts have paid off. Happy waiting until then. But I will keep writing.. Evening of Oct 14
Did not really get any time to blog today. Machines kept breaking down and some workers did not show up, well the whole nine yards actually.

10/13/10 afternoon
Isn't it amazing how soon a video posted on youtube or on your facebook page can become viral. I posted some videos on my fb page and they are appearing on my friends profiles. Thats so cool.
If you ever want a video to get viral then I think the content is key.
There are tens of thousands of videos uploaded to YouTube each day. However much “viral” you think your video is; no one is going to find it and no one is going to watch it.
Something like 80 million videos are watched each day on Youtube, and a significant number of those views come from people clicking the “Videos” tab at the top.
The goal for everyone is to get a video on that Videos page, which lists the Daily Most Viewed videos.
If we succeed, the video will no longer be a single needle in the haystack of 10,000 new videos per day. It will be one of the twenty videos on the Most Viewed page, which means that we can grab 1/20th of the clicks on that page! And the higher up on the page our video is, the more views we are going to get.

A Good Morning in Chicago. Had an early start as always. Feel good about it and happy to be up and working. I work in a food related industry and like to see the staff get ready for work in the morning. It is such an uplifting experience. Will write more as the day goes by..
